Brian Spiro chairs the firm’s litigation department and primarily handles contested probate, trust, and guardianship litigation. His practice focuses on trust and probate litigation, estate and trust administration, guardianship law and administration, and fiduciary litigation. Brian has litigated a wide range of trust, probate, and guardianship matters including will contests, trust contests, contested guardianships, homestead disputes, tortious interference with an expectancy litigation, will and trust reformation proceedings, accounting objections, elective share proceedings, and disputes arising out of creditor claims. Prior to attending law school, Brian worked in the financial services industry, having graduated with honors from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a major in Economic Consulting and Public Policy and a minor in Political Science. After a few years in finance, Brian graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law. While at the University of Miami School of Law, Brian was the Executive Editor of University of Miami’s International & Comparative Law Review. He was on the Dean’s List, and also received the Dean’s Certificate in Professional Liability & Legal Malpractice.
