Nick Gerlach handles a variety of federal, international, and state tax matters for corporations, partnerships, and individuals. Nick’s practice focuses on advising clients on the tax aspects of a wide range of business transactions, including structuring tax-efficient mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, divestitures, and other restructurings for corporations, partnerships, and other pass-through entities. He also focuses on drafting and negotiating agreements related to all phases of a company’s operations, including formation, acquisition, financing, and restructuring. Prior to joining Coblentz, Nick was an associate at DLA Piper in Palo Alto. His experience also includes working at Deloitte Tax and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Nick earned his LL.M., with distinction, in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 2012. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Syracuse University in 2011. He earned his B.A. in political science and history from Villanova University in 2008.
