Bio

Cornelius Brandi is Executive Chairman of CMS and Senior Partner of CMS Germany. He specialises in corporate and maritime law. Cornelius joined CMS Germany in 1983 (formerly Hasche Albrecht Fischer), became a partner in 1986 and was Managing Partner of the Hamburg office from 1996 to 1999. From 1999 to 2011, Cornelius was Managing Partner of CMS Germany and in this position, he initiated and negotiated mergers with various regional German law firms. During this period, he was responsible for consolidating these regional offices into a single national law firm and for integrating CMS Germany into the international CMS organisation.
