Bio

Lauren Monaghan is a Partner in the Banking and Commercial Lending Practice Group. Her practice concentrates on the representation of institutional lenders in all aspects of commercial lending, including mortgage loans, asset-based financing, leasehold financing and interest rate swap transactions. Ms. Monaghan’s experience involves documenting and negotiating various financing transactions to small business and middle market borrowers, from review of credit approvals, preparation of loan documents to closing and funding loans. Prior to joining Certilman Balin, Ms. Monaghan was an Associate at a Long Island law firm where she represented lenders, purchasers and sellers in connection with various residential real estate transactions. Ms. Monaghan earned her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law, where she was a member of Hofstra Law Women. She graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in History and a minor in English. Ms. Monaghan is member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York and United States District Court, Eastern District of New York.
