Bio

Scott Mcleman is a partner in both the Business Law Group and Banking & Specialty Finance Group at Cassels. His work focuses on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, financings and strategic advice. Highly regarded as a legal and strategic advisor to his clients, he acts for creditors (including banks and other financial institutions) and debtors in secured and unsecured lending transactions. His experience also includes structuring and negotiating commercial transactions and his clients regularly call on Scott to perform management and advisory roles with a focus on the formulation and implementation of business strategies. Scott has been recognized as a leader in his field by such authorities as Best Lawyers in Canada. Prior to joining Cassels, Scott served as a partner in the Financial Services Group in the Calgary office of an international law firm.
