Colin Ground Bio

Colin Ground is a partner at Cassels and serves as Chair of the firm’s Infrastructure Group. Colin practises in the areas of project finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, corporate finance and commercial law. His practice involves financings and mergers and acquisitions with both public and private companies. Colin provides legal advice on a wide range of corporate, commercial, project finance and transactional matters and regularly acts as lead counsel on M&A transactions, private equity transactions and infrastructure deals in Canada and in a cross-border context. In addition, he advises sponsors and institutional investors in structuring, negotiating and investing in private equity, venture capital and infrastructure funds. Colin has a Certificate in Carbon Finance from the University of Toronto’s Centre for Environment.
