David Bever joined the firm in 1987. Mr. Bever is a past member of the board of directors. He is a graduate of Willamette University College of Law where he served as comment editor for the school’s Law Review. Before joining the Carney firm, he clerked at the Seattle office of the United States Attorney General. Mr. Bever practices in the areas of commercial, corporate and real estate law. Much of his practice is centered around real estate and related commercial transactions, including land use and acquisitions, the representation of lenders and borrowers in commercial loan transactions, leasing, and the acquisition and refinancing of real property in bankruptcy or work-out situations and business reorganization. In addition to Mr. Bever being a real estate and transactional attorney, he handles the formation of business entities to own real property and business, and provides corporate counseling regarding interstate commerce, distributorship and licensing law, joint ventures and the Uniform Commercial Code.
