Mariquita Barbieri concentrates her practice in the areas of general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and strategy, real estate, distribution and restructuring agreements, purchase and supply agreements, regulatory compliance, technology licensing and intellectual property matters, and other complex commercial transactions. Mariquita provides practical and creative strategies and solutions for clients to achieve short-term business goals as well as long-term strategic initiatives. As former in-house counsel at DuPont, her expertise also includes invaluable counseling to clients as an outside general counsel in the areas of business strategy and assessment, crisis communication planning and critical compliance matters, including antitrust, privacy, social media, e-commerce, export controls, anti-boycott, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Mariquita is a member of the Board of Directors of Central Institute for the Deaf and serves as chairperson of CID’s Development Committee.
