Bio

Prior to joining CMPR, Trevor Codington worked at Cox, Castle & Nicholson in San Francisco, and most recently practiced at Abbey, Weitzenberg, Warren & Emery in Santa Rosa and Reidy Law Group in St. Helena. As a transactional attorney, Trevor brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the areas of real estate, corporate, and finance law. Trevor’s real estate practice focuses on the wine and hospitality industries, and includes representation of owners, developers, and investors in complex real estate transactions from acquisition and development to management and disposition. He has drafted and negotiated purchase and sale agreements, asset purchase agreements, option agreements, commercial leases, easement agreements, construction contracts, hotel management agreements, franchise agreements, vineyard leases, and other real estate related documents. Trevor also provides counseling to clients on corporate issues from formation to ownership to disposition. He frequently advises owners and senior level executives with respect to formation, governance, day-to-day operational and dissolution matters, and handles commercial contracts for his corporate clients. Trevor has successfully negotiated and consummated numerous asset purchase and sale transactions, stock/membership interest purchase and sale transactions, joint venture agreements, buy-sell agreements, and lease and licensing agreements. Trevor also has significant experience in finance matters. He has negotiated a wide array of loan transactions including permanent, construction, bridge and mezzanine financing, A/B structured loan transactions, construction loans, participation agreements and inter-creditor agreements. Trevor has represented multiple community banks, institutional lenders and private lenders as outside counsel throughout his career which has furthered his expertise in finance law.
