Cristian Herrera Bio

Cristián has developed an extensive practice in corporate advice and in mergers and acquisitions, as well as in public infrastructure, strengthened with his academic experience and as member of the board of different companies. Cristián joined the firm in 1994 and has been a partner since 2005. He works as legal advisor to various national and foreign clients, including company groups that operate in different areas, providing legal advice not only on corporate and transactional matters, but also on foreign investment and stock market regulations. He has led significant company acquisition and merger processes, with both national and foreign parties, participating throughout the development of the process, from due diligence and structuring of investment vehicles to involvement in the preparation and negotiation of the relevant documentation and management of relations with the respective regulatory authorities and entities. At the same time, he has significant experience in infrastructure projects area, whether providing advice on tender processes for public works concessions and public-private partnerships, or providing advice during the development of these projects, especially in relation to the entry or exit processes of partners. Due to his professional and academic recognition as a professor at different universities, he has constantly been asked to issue legal opinions on highly complex matters. His experience in the corporate field and in infrastructure, reinforced by his position as Academic, has also allowed him to serve on the boards of important companies, operating in such areas. It has given Cristián the opportunity to complement his legal expertise with in-depth knowledge of the business areas he is involved in.
