Cristian Herrera has been a partner of our law firm since 2005, having first joined in 1994. He is in charge of one of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions groups, where he serves as legal advisor to various to national and foreign clients, including company groups that operate in different areas, providing legal advice not only on corporate and transactional matters, but also on foreign investment and stock market regulations. Cristián has led significant company acquisition and merger processes, with both national and foreign parties, participating throughout the development of the process, from due diligence and the structuring of investment vehicles, to involvement in the preparation and negotiation of the relevant documentation and management of relations with the respective regulatory authorities and entities. At the same time, he has significant experience in the area of infrastructure projects, whether it be providing advice on tender processes for public works concessions and public-private partnerships, or providing advice during the development of these projects, especially in relation to the entry or exit processes of partners. Due to his professional and academic recognition as a professor at different universities, Cristián is constantly asked to issue law reports and legal opinions on highly complex issues. His experience in the corporate field and in infrastructure, reinforced by his quality as an academic, has also allowed him to serve on the boards of important companies operating in such areas. This has given Cristián the opportunity to complement his legal expertise with in-depth knowledge of the business areas he is involved in.
