Mitch is a member of Butler Snow's Business Services Group. He focuses his practice on corporate and transactional matters, generative artificial intelligence, and distressed transactions. Mitch’s experience includes advising privately held businesses in sales and acquisitions in a variety of industries including healthcare, energy, medical software, and logistics. Mitch has also developed a practice focusing on generative artificial intelligence, advising clients on various legal and strategic issues related to the adoption, deployment, and commercialization of generative AI technologies. He provides guidance on intellectual property rights, data governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and transactional matters involving generative AI. Mitch combines his understanding of both the technical and commercial aspects of generative AI to assist businesses in effectively navigating this evolving field and addressing related legal challenges. He is active in a number of organizations, including the American, Mississippi, Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations. He obtained his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi and his B.A. in Political Science from Millsaps College. He is admitted to practice in Mississippi and Tennessee.
