Nora Flaherty is a partner in the Firm's Litigation and Religious Organizations practice groups, focusing on business and not-for-profit litigation. Ms. Flaherty has represented clients in a wide variety of disputes, practicing before state and federal trial and appellate courts, private arbitrators, and administrative agencies. On behalf of her clients, Ms. Flaherty has been involved in disputes relating to commercial lending, franchise rights, business asset sales, shareholder disputes, commercial real estate, consumer claims, class actions, non-competes, business torts, and claims against religious not-for-profit organizations. Ms. Flaherty's primary consideration is always to serve client's best interests by tailoring litigation and risk management strategy for every matter. This sometimes requires bringing in lawyers from other practice areas in the firm, or working with outside lawyers, public relations firms, accountants, and other professionals. In addition to litigation, Ms. Flaherty counsels clients in risk management, insurance, and other issues and has extensive experience conducting mediation and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings, especially in highly sensitive and confidential matters.
