Adam Rick helps institutions prevent and defend against claims based on alleged malfeasance by their employees. In particular, he works with schools and religious entities to implement policies and procedures that reduce the risk of harm to minors. At Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, Adam is part of the Litigation and Religious Organizations practice groups. Adam seeks successful outcomes for his clients both in and out of court. He has won cases on motion, at trial, and on appeal, but he appreciates that cases can also be won through negotiation. To that end, he has achieved multiple no-liability, walk-away settlements that did not require any payments by his clients. Adam’s most recent courtroom successes have resulted in summary judgment and dismissal of negligent supervision claims.
