John Buchan Bio

John Buchan specialises in corporate and commercial law and in particular, commercial property. He acts on a wide range of transactions including sales and purchases, developments and subdivisions, construction, leases and financing and security arrangements. John provided property and related advice to the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority and now provides the same advice to Land Information New Zealand in relation to Canterbury earthquake recovery matters. John also has expertise in local government, advising Christchurch City Council and other local authorities and council controlled trading organisations on various issues and transactions. Having been an All Black and having played 100 games for Canterbury, John also has an interest in sports law.
