Bio

Liam Liston is a Partner with Bryan & Company LLP, where his practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and general corporate governance. His clients include large cap and micro private equity groups, search funds, and individual business owners, as well as other established private issuers and public entities. Liam prides himself on maintaining a deep understanding of both his clients’ legal and business environments, so he may provide them with thoughtful and practical counsel. He is also experienced at coordinating with the Firm’s many practice groups and other external advisors, ensuring his clients receive well-rounded advice. A former Western Hockey League player, Liam remains actively involved in the sport throughout Alberta. Prior to joining the Firm, he spent time in the Hockey Legal Affairs department of the National Hockey League’s Vegas Golden Knights, where he worked on player contract negotiations, salary cap management, and generally all matters associated with the NHL / NHLPA Collective Bargaining Agreement. He has volunteered his time with Project ‘Stay Onside’ for at-risk youth, and CIBC’s Read to Succeed Program.
