J. Patrick Bond is a partner with Bryan & Company practicing corporate and commercial law, from assisting owner-managed businesses to advising on complex domestic and international transactions. He also uses his extensive background to facilitate mergers, acquisitions and divestitures for both vendors and purchasers. Pat works to understand each of his clients’ businesses and provide practical and meaningful advice, using creative legal strategies to achieve his clients’ objectives. Pat has been both an instructor and an evaluator for the Law Society of Alberta Bar Admission course, in addition to sitting on the Bar Admission Examination Review Committee for LESA. He has been a contributing author to the revisions to the Alberta Corporation Law Guide published by CCH Canada Ltd. concerning the Business Corporations Actfor Alberta. Pat has been a regular speaker at Continuing Legal Education seminars and shares his business enterprise expertise in private seminars with clients and other interested groups on a variety of related topics. He has also been regularly recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada in mergers and acquisitions. Pat has been involved in numerous volunteer and charitable organizations in Edmonton and area, including as director and chair of Snow Valley Ski Club, the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories, and the Alberta Special Olympics. In 1987, he was chair of the Canadian National Floor Hockey Championships for the Special Olympics, which were held in Edmonton.
