Ellen M. Hames is an associate attorney with BrownWinick and has a general practice including, but not limited to, agribusiness, business and corporate law, environmental law, international business transactions, and real estate law. Ellen graduated from the University of Iowa in 2008, receiving her B.A. in International Studies, with a minor in Japanese. In December 2015, Ellen received her J.D., with high honors, from Drake University Law School and received a Business Law Certificate. While in law school, Ellen was a member of the Drake Law Review, was an officer of the Business Law Society, and was a Student Ambassador. Ellen also served as a Judicial Extern for Iowa Supreme Court Justice Daryl Hecht and was a law clerk at the BrownWinick law firm. Ellen was involved in the financial and education industries from 2008-2013 prior to attending law school. Ellen is a member of the Polk County, Iowa State and American Bar Associations. She is also a member of the Polk County Women Attorneys. Ellen was admitted to the Iowa bar in April 2016.
