Matt Bolton Bio

Matt is a partner in our corporate team who focuses on private equity and venture capital transactions and complex mergers and acquisitions. Matt’s clients include private equity and venture capital funds, management teams and national and international corporates. He works closely with a number of Browne Jacobson’s national private equity team’s key clients including LDC, Apiary Capital, BGF and Foresight Group. Since joining Browne Jacobson in 2021, Matt has advised on a number of significant investments and exits across a broad range of sectors, many involving tech-led businesses and software as a service (SaaS). Before training as a lawyer, Matt worked in a trading role within the fast-moving consumer goods sector and helped a number of international brands and household names achieve key goals in the discount channel. Matt was shortlisted as ‘Emerging Dealmaker of the Year’ by Insider Media at the East Midlands Dealmakers Awards in 2023, 2024 and 2025 and as ‘Rising Star of the Year’ at the inaugural East Midlands Rainmakers Awards 2025.
