Bio

Carlye Dozier joined Brown & Fortunato as a member of the firm’s Litigation Group. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Amarillo Area Bar Association, and the Amarillo Area Young Lawyers Association. She is admitted to practice in Texas and before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Northern District of Texas. Carlye grew up on a farm just outside Franklin, Texas. In 2016, she graduated cum laude from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science. Prior to attending law school, Carlye worked for two years as a day trader in the grain merchandizing industry, an experience which helped her develop strong client relations skills. In 2021, Carlye graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law, magna cum laude. While in law school, Carlye studied litigation and strategy under the watchful eye of her mentor, the Late Honorable Judge Ruben Reyes. Judge Reyes instructed Carlye on civil trial practice and Texas civil procedure. She brings the knowledge she gained through Judge Reyes’ mentorship to her law practice. In her free time, Carlye enjoys watching Red Raider football, cheering on the Denver Broncos, participating in fantasy football, and supporting her family as they show market lambs at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
