Edwin has worked with companies during all stages of their growth—from seed and venture capital financings to IPOs. He represents both private and public companies across a range of industries. He regularly advises on capital raising transactions, including private placements and public offerings, M&A transactions, SEC reporting and corporate governance matters, and stock exchange and securities laws compliance. Edwin works with business owners and management on legal issues that arise in the operation of their business on a daily basis. He has represented clients in transactions ranging from the sale of a family-held business to the sale of a NYSE-listed company in a deal that was recognized by China Business Law Journal as the Going Private Deal of the Year. Prior to starting his own boutique corporate practice, ELA Corporate Law, Edwin practiced in the corporate and securities groups of international law firms, most recently, Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton, LLP. Edwin is a member of the California State Bar and previously served on the Corporations Committee of the California State Bar during which he served as Co-Vice Chair, Legislation.
