John Spofforth is a Partner and also leads our Professional Services team. John is an experienced corporate lawyer who handles issues such as mergers and acquisitions as well as commercial contracts. He acts for a wide range of clients, specialising in advising high-growth and family-owned businesses. John has a strong background in mergers and acquisitions and has over 20 years’ experienced in leading domestic and cross-border corporate transactions across a range of sectors. His experience includes heading up the corporate practice at a Liverpool-based specialist business law firm. He is a member of the Law Society and has been named as a leading individual in Corporate and Commercial (North West) by the Legal 500, which called him “exceptional” in its 2022 rankings. John joined us in 2022 and is based in our Liverpool office.
