Brendan McAleese Bio

Brendan is a Partner in our employment, immigration and pensions team. An experienced employment lawyer, he advises on contentious and non-contentious matters including disciplinary, dismissal and grievance issues, redundancy/reorganisations, TUPE and negotiated settlements. Brendan acts for a wide variety of employers across a diverse range of sectors. He also drafts employment contracts, service agreements and policy documentation. Brendan has a strong background in contentious work and has acted for employers and employees in employment tribunal claims involving complex issues such as unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and discrimination. Recognised by The Legal 500 as an experienced litigator, Brendan handles business immigration and sponsor license matters, advising businesses seeking to employ personnel from outside the UK and Europe on how to ensure compliance with sponsorship duties and illegal working laws. Brendan’s clients include Peel Ports, Ralawise, Sun Valley and Your Housing Group. Brendan joined us in 2011 and is based in our Liverpool office.
