David Opijah is the Head of Trade Marks in our Nairobi office and a member of the Intellectual Property practice group. He specialises in intellectual property with a focus on litigation, technology, data privacy and e-commerce, and trademark, patent and design protection. He advises on trademarks, patents, design and copyrights.. He has a B.Ed from Moi University, an LLB from the University of London, UK, and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. David is admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, is a Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths. He is also a Patent Agent. Most recently, he was appointed to serve on the Internet Committee of the International Trade Mark Association (INTA). He assists clients on mandates across various sectors including Aviation, Construction, Consumer Goods, Education, Energy, Entertainment, Financial Institutions, Hotels and Leisure, Industrials, Infrastructure, Insurance, Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare, Transport and Logistics and Technology, Media and Telecommunications, among others.
