Jyrki Tahtinen Bio

Jyrki advises on public and private M&A and corporate governance matters. He is a leading authority on private equity and fund formation in Finland. Jyrki has served as an administrator and trustee in a number of major corporate restructuring procedures and bankruptcy estates. Jyrki has served as a board member in a number of public and private companies. He has in the past served some 15 years as chairman of the Finnish Venture Capital Association’s Legal Committee and as a member of the Invest Europe’s Tax, Legal and Regulatory Committee. He also writes articles and lectures on subjects related to his areas of specialisation. Jyrki’s career at Borenius began as a Partner in 1991. Since then, Jyrki has served as our Managing Partner from 1997 to 2008 and as the Chair of our Board from 2008 to 2020. Jyrki became a Senior Partner in 2008. In 2023, Jyrki was granted the esteemed honorary title of laamanni by the President of Finland.
