Stephen Moore is the chair of the McNees Automotive Dealership Law Group. Steve has been a member of the group since it was formed in 1989. During the course of his 30 plus year legal career at McNees, he has represented dealers in a wide range of matters involving licensure, franchise relations, and consumer protection claims, as well as counseling dealers on issues regarding business succession. Steve has represented dealers before the Pennsylvania Dealer Licensing Board, as well as state and federal courts in franchise termination, new point and relocation cases. He has provided advice to both national and regional dealer associations, and assisted in drafting various amendments to the Pennsylvania Board of Vehicles Act over the last 20 years. During the last 15 years, Steve’s practice has focused on buying and selling dealerships, shareholder and succession issues, antitrust and competition issues and franchise relations with manufacturers, including termination threats and dualling issues. Steve has given seminars for groups including the Pennsylvania Automotive Association, local dealer associations, the Pennsylvania Motorcycle Dealers Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. Prior to becoming chair of the Automotive Dealership Law Group, he served as Chair of the firm’s Business Group for nearly 10 years, and is a past member of the firm’s Management Committee.
