A member of the Corporate & Commercial group, Hasan advises clients on business structures, tax efficient corporate re-organizations, regulatory and compliance matters, secured financing transactions, as well as purchase and sale transactions. He has acquired experience in drafting agreements, doing legal research on complex regulatory matters, and conducting legal due diligence on merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions. Hasan also has a keen interest in tax matters. He has successfully assisted in executing complex tax planning transactions, such as divisive re-organizations (butterfly) transactions, tax deferred rollovers, as well as estate freezes for several owner-managers. Hasan has also been involved in preparing Notices of Objection for clients assessed by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
