John spent 10 years working in Edinburgh as part of a leading UK commercial property team and joined Blackadders in 2016. John is qualified as a solicitor in Scotland and England & Wales and is well known for providing a one-stop service for clients in Scotland with property interests throughout the whole of the UK. He advises on all real estate matters and in particular investment acquisitions, secured lending, freehold and leasehold sales and acquisitions as well as commercial leasing (acting for both landlords and tenants). John has particular expertise in the retail and leisure sectors having previously acted for some of the UK’s leading retail and leisure household names. John is also known for his experience in dealing with the acquisition and subsequent management and sale of shopping centres in Scotland for institutional investors.
