Nick Burt Bio

Nick is a Partner in our Corporate Team and has been with Birketts since 2006. Nick’s expertise spans a broad spectrum of transactions, with a particular emphasis on corporate finance. He advises on a wide range of acquisitions and disposals, including those of an international nature. He has also acted for several private equity and venture capital clients, guiding their investments and supporting portfolio companies, as well as advising owner-managers and large corporates. Nick also has experience advising on reorganisations and corporate governance matters. Nick holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Durham and gained industry experience with part of the BAE Systems group before transitioning to law. This background gives Nick a particular understanding of engineering and technology businesses and he has an interest in the use of artificial intelligence. Nick is based at our Cambridge office.
