Greg Allan Bio

Greg is an experienced and leading M&A lawyer and Partner in our Corporate Team. Greg advises UK businesses and clients on a wide range of corporate, merger and acquisition transactions. Greg joined Birketts in 2006 upon qualification and became a Partner in 2015. Greg heads the firms Independent Healthcare Team and leads complex transactions for operators and providers in social and medical care, advising on acquisitions and disposals, acting for buyers and sellers to trade and private equity as well as re-organisations and related funding investments. On each transaction Greg leads, and is supported by, a team of specialists to deliver the deal. His sector knowledge and deal experience means he has the skill to handle the important “deal issues”. Greg manages many of the firm’s relationships with key healthcare clients in the private sector. As a key member of the Corporate Team, Greg has worked with UK businesses on numerous matters over his career from expansion and succession structures including advising buyers on acquiring competitors and other ancillary businesses, sellers and management on MBO’s and trade sales as well as investment from third parties including private equity.
