Alex Forwood Bio

Alex is a Partner in the Corporate Team in Chelmsford. He regularly advises on acquisitions by large corporate groups, company disposals by individual shareholders, and corporate reorganisations. He has acted for international groups on cross-border acquisitions and disposals in a variety of different sectors. In addition, Alex regularly advises a broad range of clients from start-ups to established businesses on shareholder investments, shareholder partial exits and corporate governance matters. Most recently, Alex has been involved in acting on a number of corporate transactions in the private equity sector, including new investments by private equity investors and disposals by private equity owned portfolio companies. Alex is also a member of Birketts’ Food and Beverages Sector Group, which brings together fee-earners in the firm with particular experience in acting for clients in the Food and Beverages sector. He manages several relationships with food and beverages clients for Birketts, and has a strong track record in delivery of mergers and acquisitions in the sector. Alex qualified as a Solicitor in 2015.
