Best Best & Krieger LLP Partner Jon Napier provides counsel in a variety of business transactions. He regularly works with clients in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, startups, commercial leasing and other real estate transactions, employment law and general business transactions. Jon has significant experience helping clients buy and sell businesses, raise early-stage capital through private placements, form business entities, negotiate and structure business contracts and commercial leases, and otherwise resolving legal issues and problems. In his employment law practice, Jon counsels employers on a wide variety of employment law matters and assists clients in negotiating and drafting various employment-related agreements. A native Oregonian, Jon was born in Ashland. After law school, Jon practiced at Miller Nash LLP in Portland, Oregon for four years. He then practiced at Karnopp Petersen for 20 years before the firm joined with BB&K in 2022. Jon donates legal services to numerous local nonprofits. He has presented on a variety of legal topics and served on the City of Bend’s Community Development Block Grant and Housing Advisory Committee and Bend Chamber of Commerce’s Business Success Council. Jon is a graduate of the Bend Chamber of Commerce Leadership Bend Program and a member of the Oregon State Bar and Deschutes County Bar Association.
