Partner
and access,
Dawn Meyers is a Partner on Berger Singerman's Government and Regulatory Team. She concentrates on environmental and land use law, government contracting, and regulation. Driven by a passion for improving her community, Dawn has a reputation for attention to detail, accessibility to clients, and honest relationships with local regulators and elected officials. Her broad regulatory experience includes representing clients in aviation, port, marine, large manufacturers, solid waste transportation and disposal, detention facilities, beverage producers and distributors, land developers, construction, hotel, and restaurant industries. Dawn brings years of professional experience to the table, as well as a steadfast dedication to living a life of integrity. She gleans excellent satisfaction from helping clients achieve their goals of rehabilitating environmentally contaminated lands -- regardless of the project's size. One of her proudest career moments is assisting with converting an aging, contaminated, abandoned golf course into a mixed-use, residential and commercial park and executive golf course. Before becoming the first female lawyer-named-shareholder with Berger Singerman in 1996, Dawn served as General Counsel to the Boca Raton Airport Authority and Chief Hearing Officer with Florida's Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Her experiences have granted her a distinctive and hands-on perspective into real estate matters, federally-funded projects, and public building development. She's uniquely qualified to navigate procedures in a constantly changing government environment. Dawn is a pillar of her community. She has lived locally for 30 years and plans to remain there while giving back to that community for the rest of her life. During those 30 years, she has been instrumental in transforming the landscape. Above all, Dawn takes pride in seeing old blights and environmental risks now thriving as productive properties and knows full-well the dedication and diligence required to spark those transformations.
