Jennifer Gunser is a specialist banking and finance lawyer with a focus on complex corporate finance transactions. Jennifer's experience includes advising on a variety of complex secured and unsecured debt financing transactions, including leveraged acquisitions, investment grade and other corporate lending, refinancings and restructurings. She also provides regulatory advice in relation to consumer credit law and anti-money laundering. Jennifer acts for a number of public and private corporates, private equity sponsors and leading financial institution clients. Jennifer's international experience includes three years practising in New York, most recently at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, during which time it was recognised by leading directories Chambers Global, IFLR and The Legal 500 as a leading banking and finance firm. Prior to that, Jennifer received her Master of Laws at Columbia University School of Law in New York, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Jennifer also practised in London in the European finance department at Shearman & Sterling. Jennifer is ranked as a ‘Next Generation Partner’ in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2023 for banking and finance. She is also ranked as an ‘Up and Coming’ partner for banking and finance in Chambers Asia Pacific 2023. She’s also recognised as a debt capital markets lawyer of the year in the Women in Business Law Awards APAC 2023 shortlist. Jennifer contributed to the International Comparative Legal Guide to Securitisation 2016 (Global Legal Group).
