As a family law attorney, Simul concentrates on complex divorce matters, contested custody disputes and post-dissolution matters. Simul is an experienced litigator. Prior to joining Beermann Law, Simul defended multimillion dollar companies, through both alternative dispute resolution and, when necessary, litigation. Simul has been named a Rising Star in the area of Litigation by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2013 through 2019, a designation reserved for the top 2.5% of all Illinois attorneys under 40. A tough litigation background should not be confused as only strength in conflict. The fusion of Simul’s natural ability to listen with clarity, combined with being a zealous advocate as a litigator, prepared her to appreciate the big picture in any dispute. Simul understands the emotional stress and uncertainty that comes with family disputes and is able to bring a unique balance of advocacy and empathy to each case.
