Elizabeth C. Szabo focuses her practice exclusively in the area of family law and has litigated all aspects of family law cases including custody, support and maintenance, as well as property division, business and real property valuations, and various post-divorce matters. Through her experience, however, the best outcome for most clients is to resolve their cases outside of the courtroom so that they can move on with their lives and (very often) continue to co-parent with a former spouse. Ms. Szabo is skilled at all aspects of settlement negotiations for family law matters and her goal is to guide and counsel clients through an incredibly challenging time and to efficiently reach a resolution – either through settlement or litigation. Ms. Szabo was an adjunct professor at The George Washington University Law School from 2013 through 2016 as well as a member of the teaching staff of The George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development from 2009 through 2018. Ms. Szabo received her juris doctorate from The George Washington University Law School, with honors, and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude.
