Selim Keki is an expert transactional lawyer with more than 21 years of experience in handling complex cross-border transactions in a variety of sectors, including energy, automotive, construction, FMCG and pharmaceuticals. He advises a wide range of clients from strategic investors and listed companies, to private equity houses and individual investors. Dr. Keki combines his extensive practical experience with a strong academic background. His JD thesis, entitled “Deutsches und türkisches Konzernrecht in der rechtsvergleichenden Betrachtung”, compares the provisions applying to group companies in Germany to those in Turkey. He is a co-author of the highly reputable “Handbuch Vertragsverhandlung und Vertragsmanagement” published by the Dr. Otto Schmidt publishing house in Köln. He teaches at post-graduate programs and regularly publishes articles on important legal developments and contributes to books. He is a graduate of the German University of Konstanz, Faculty of Law (LL.B., 1995) and earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the same university in 1999. He received his Turkish equivalency degree, i.e. his Turkish law degree, from the University of Istanbul, Faculty of Law in 2000. Prior to joining the Firm, Dr. Keki worked for a leading Turkish conglomerate and then for a UK-based international law firm. He is a member of the Istanbul Bar Association. He is a native speaker of German and fluent in English and French.
