Junghwan Bae focuses his practice on corporate legal affairs, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance structure and foreign investment, with a particular focus on Japan-related matters concerning Japanese companies' investment in Korea and vice versa, liquidation, reorganization and other corporate matters of Japanese companies' local subsidiaries in Korea. Mr. Bae also has extensive experience in handling businesses between Korea and Japan. Mr. Bae was selected for Young Leadership Program hosted by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and obtained an LL.M. in International Relations in Kyushu University, Japan and worked at Nishimura & Asahi, Tokyo Office. He was admitted to the New York Bar after graduating from University of Virginia School of Law. He also worked for Hyundai Oilbank, where he had served as an executive in charge of legal affairs for more than four years.
