Hee-Gang Shin practices focus on capital market and corporate financing, M&A and restructuring of financial companies, approval and permit of financial companies and financial regulations, corporate M&A, corporate governance and holding companies, real estate financing/real estate indirect investment, private equity investment, foreign investment, asset securitization and structured finance, acquisition financing, general financing, asset management and collective investment, derivatives, project financing, and overseas investment. Mr. Shin specializes in IPO and overseas securities and others regarding capital market and securities finance, and has advised SK Biopharmaceuticals, NeolmmuneTech, Inc., Kakao Games Corp., Big Hit Entertainment, Samsung Biologics, Doosan Bobcat, Cheil Industries, Hyundai-Rotem, LIG NEX1, Innocean Worldwide, CJ HelloVision on legal matters regarding large-scale IPO, and Psomagen, Englewood LAb, and Accessbio of the U.S. and GRT and Organic Tea Cosmetics of China on their listing in Korea, China Eastern Airlines on issuance of Arirang Bonds and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China on issuance of Kimchi Bonds. He also has advised Hanwha Chemical Corporation, Industrial Bank of Korea, Youngone Corporation, Kolao Holdings on issuance of GDR and foreign exchange equalization bonds and KEPCO, KEXIM, KDB, NongHyup Bank, KB Kookmin Bank, LG Display, LG Chem on the issuance of overseas bonds and overseas equity linked bonds such as CB and EB, and Accessbio, CKH Food & Health Limited on the issuance of CB/BW for domestic and overseas investors. He was awarded as 'The Securities Lawyer' of the Year of the East Asia in 2017 by 'The Asian Lawyer Award 2017' of The Asian Lawyer and 'Deal Maker of the Year' by ALB Korea Award of ALB. In addition, he was selected as the '2020 Lawyers of the Year' in the capital market field in 2020 by the Legal Times. Mr. Shin also advises Porsche on the establishment of a joint venture company in Korea, Samsung Asset Management on the acquisition of real estate in Germany and Korean companies on the investment in Germany and vice versa, and clients on establishment of joint venture companies and investment between Korea and Europe such as the establishment of a joint venture company named KAPES for technology transfer between KEPCO and Alstom. Mr. Shin graduated Korea University (LL.B.) and completed the Judicial Research and Training Institute course. He also graduated Harvard Law School (LL.M.) in 2002 and worked at Kelley, Drye & Warren, LLP in New York. He was admitted to the bar of New York in 2003.
