Wes Strickland has extensive experience regarding projects in the water, energy and transportation sectors. He advises on project development, project finance, M&A transactions, public-private partnerships (PPP/P3) and the establishment, management and protection of water rights. He has been involved in many of the largest and most significant water projects in the US for the past 20 years related to surface water, groundwater, desalination, recycling, conveyance, banking, water transfers and marketing, and water bottling. He has extensive experience with M&A transactions involving water utilities and other organizations with material exposure to water risk. His clients include US-based and multinational water companies, financial institutions and governmental enterprises. Wes has also advised owners, sponsors and design-builders related to development of transportation infrastructure such as toll roads, managed lanes, bridges and goods movement systems, and energy projects such as geothermal, wind and solar generation, produced water treatment, and oil and gas pipelines. Earlier in his career, Wes served as a captain and judge advocate in the US Marine Corps, where he handled water right matters for the western US and the US Department of Defense utilities privatization initiative.
