Samuel Outtridge is a partner in our projects and energy transition practice. Samuel specialises in commercial contracts and project development, with a focus on infrastructure, energy, utilities, transport and defence. As part of Ashurst's role on the UK Government's legal panel, Samuel is assisting the UK Government on a wide range of advisory roles. In particular he is advising on a number of nationally significant infrastructure and energy transition programmes which will support the Government's net zero policy. In recent years he has advised on a number of other high profile infrastructure projects including the £4bn Thames Tideway Tunnel, the £700m Priority School Building Programme and the £1bn Silvertown Tunnel. Samuel also advises funders, sponsors and contractors on a range of infrastructure projects. He has particular experience in the higher education sector, advising on major new university accommodation developments at Durham University, the University of Leicester and the University of Birmingham.
