Ben Stewart Bio

Ben Stewart is a partner in our corporate practice. Ben specialises in ASX-listed company takeovers, schemes of arrangement, private M&A and equity capital raisings. He acts for corporate, private equity and investment banking clients across a number of sectors including energy and resources, healthcare, telecommunications, media and technology. Ben has particular expertise acting on cross-border and regulated acquisitions and has worked on some of the most significant and complex corporate transactions globally, drawing on his experience at a leading US law firm in London and his time working at the Australian Takeovers Panel. Ben was part of the team that advised Comcast Corporation on its £30.6 billion competitive takeover offer for Sky plc, and Reliance Industries on its series of capital raisings from world leading strategic and financial investors amounting to over US$20 billion. Ben also regularly advises on issues under the Corporations Act and the ASX listing rules for the ongoing management of ASX-listed public companies. In 2017, Ben was recognised as winner of the M&A category in the Australian 30 under 30 awards.
