Ambur Hoffmann joined Ascent Law Partners, LLP in 2014 and became a Partner in 2015. Ambur’s practice focuses around providing general corporate, business development, and other legal advice and representation to a broad array of start-up and operating companies, from formation through exit. Ambur serves as general corporate counsel to numerous early-stage technology companies, with the bulk of her clients engaged in the clean tech/renewable energy space. With a knack for organizing chaos, creating and implementing structure, and navigating risks and pivot points, Ambur has a passion for providing ongoing representation to operating entities in growth mode. Ambur also advises clients on matters related to entity formation, capitalization and structure, equity compensation, early round financing events, due diligence matters, mergers, acquisitions, and other legal and strategic matters. Prior to joining Ascent Law Partners, LLP, Ambur worked at Beacon Law Advisors PLLC, a boutique corporate law firm in Seattle, first as a Legal Intern then as a licensed Attorney (2011-2014). Prior to attending law school, Ambur gained experience working as a Legal Assistant for Scruggs Law Offices, a small practice formerly located on Mercer Island (2006–2009), and as a Consumer Protection Mediator at the Washington State Attorney General’s Office (2005–2006).
