Barry Levenfeld is one of Israel’s leading lawyers, representing Israeli and international corporate clients for over 35 years. Having joined the firm in 1988, he became a partner in 1992. He has represented many leading multinational technology and other Israeli and overseas companies with respect to M&A transactions, and acted for prominent Israeli and foreign private equity and venture capital funds on fund formation and portfolio investments. He also handles complex intellectual property transactions, including strategic partnering and licensing, in the life sciences, software, semiconductor and other technology fields. In addition, he represents issuers and underwriters in initial public offerings and other securities transactions in Israel, the United States and other countries. Barry graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1976, and from Harvard Law School in 1980. He holds a Senior Lecturer position at the Hebrew University Law Faculty, teaching high-tech corporate finance, and is the author of many professional articles related to M&A, computer contracting, venture capital and life sciences. He also speaks on these issues at conferences and seminars. Barry is a member of the New York Bar (1981) and the Israeli Bar Association (1985). He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Alyn Hospital Pediatric & Adolescent Rehabilitation Center in Jerusalem. He is an avid cyclist and has actively organized and participated in Israel’s largest charity bicycle ride for Alyn. Barry is the Chairman of the Board of Adam, Teva v’Din, Israel’s leading environmental advocacy group, and a member of the Board of the Immigrant Hotline, an organization that advocates for the rights of refugees. A preeminent figure in Israel’s legal community, Barry has earned recognition in The Legal 500, IFLR 100, Who’s Who Legal and Chambers Global for his outstanding track record spanning more than three decades, advising leading multinational corporations, private equity and venture capital funds, and high-growth technology companies on complex, high-value transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
