Nik Patel is one of the founding partners of Amis, Patel & Brewer, LLP. Together with several longstanding colleagues, Nik founded APB in the belief that a boutique firm, focused on the renewable energy and sustainability sectors with an emphasis on client service by senior practitioners, could offer the superior value proposition in this sector. Nik has spent the past 25-plus years counseling clients on the acquisition, development and financing of infrastructure projects. For the past 20 years, his practice has been focused on domestic and international clean energy and sustainability projects, including the acquisition, development and financing of several of the largest clean energy projects in the United States. Advising primarily developers and equity investors, Nik’s practice has covered all phases of the acquisition, development, construction and financing of sustainability projects, as well as repowering of existing projects. Representative technologies include solar, wind, battery energy storage, biomass, small and utility scale combined cycle gas generation, waste to energy, clean waste disposal and hydropower. While primarily focusing on domestic projects, Nik has assisted clients in projects around the globe, including Southeast Asia, Western and Southern Africa, Latin America and Eastern Europe. He has consistently received a top ranking from Chambers Global for his renewable energy and sustainability work and led the transactions that have earned top national project awards.
