Liam is a driven and forward-thinking transactional corporate lawyer with a passion for helping public and private companies and investors achieve their immediate and long-term objectives. He takes a holistic approach when advising clients by looking beyond the initial focus of a transaction to provide advice from a broad and thoughtful perspective. Liam values the importance of relationship building in the context of providing legal advice and endeavours to truly get to know his clients in order to better understand their goals and motivations. Liam is a member of the firm’s Capital Markets Group, where his practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), securities law, and general corporate and commercial matters. Liam has significant experience advising a range of clients, including public companies, private equity firms and sponsors, startups and widely held private companies on a variety of corporate finance and capital markets matters. His experience includes advising on go-public transactions, private and public M&A, including cross-border M&A, contested transactions and shareholder disputes, securities offerings, continuous disclosure requirements and corporate governance. His clients come from a diverse range of industries, including technology, manufacturing, renewable energy, mining and minerals, biotech and cannabis. Liam joined Aird & Berlis as an associate after summering and articling with the firm.
