She consistently works to strengthen her clients’ businesses and achieve their goals by providing effective solutions to their legal issues and negotiating complex transactions. Adria’s depth of knowledge in corporate and securities law has been established through acting on domestic and cross-border transactions for companies ranging from small start-ups to large public companies listed on the TSX and other international exchanges. Adria is Co-Practice Group Leader of the firm’s Capital Markets Group and Practice Group Leader of the firm’s Mines & Minerals Group. Her practice involves executing public offerings and private placement financings, mergers and acquisitions, go-public transactions, including reverse takeovers and initial public offerings, corporate reorganizations, and ongoing corporate and commercial matters. She advises on general securities compliance matters such as corporate governance, continuous disclosure and other regulatory matters. She advises clients across a variety of industries, including mining, life sciences and technology. She works on specialized transactions, including royalty and streaming transactions, and joint venture arrangements. Adria was a past Co-Chair of the Aird & Berlis Women’s Initiative, providing women lawyers with a platform to connect, support one another and overcome challenges to achieve professional success. As a member of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, she is committed to promoting inclusion and raising awareness through meaningful discussion and programming. Adria was also a long-standing member of the firm’s Student Recruitment Committee, recruiting students and helping them successfully transition into the associate ranks. Adria is recognized in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory as a Leading Lawyer in the area of Corporate Finance & Securities and in Chambers Canada as an Up & Coming Lawyer in Cannabis Law. She was recognized as a 2023 Lexpert Rising Star: Leading Lawyers Under 40 and was also listed in Lexpert's Special Editions on Finance and M&A and Energy and Mining. Prior to beginning her legal practice, Adria worked for a large financial institution and a Big Four accounting firm.
