Jon Kristian Sjatil Bio

Jon Kristian is a senior partner in our Transactions department. He has wide experience working with M&A and capital markets transactions for more than 20 years, including also the Norway-based bond market. He represents strategic and financial investors in mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, debt and equity markets transactions, as well as corporate and debt restructurings. Jon Kristian mainly works on international transactions, often involving a number of jurisdictions and across a large range of business sectors. Jon Kristian is a graduate from the Faculty of Law of the University of Oslo in 2000. He joined Schjødt out of university and became partner in 2010. Prior to becoming a partner in Schjødt, he also worked with a London firm in 2003 and at Thommessen from 2004 to 2009. In the period 2006-2009 he headed the firm's London office. He has also held numerous leadership roles in the firm. Jon Kristian is ranked as a leading and recommended individual by international rating agencies, including Chambers and Legal 500.
