Joachim Funariu Bio

Joachim is a partner in Schjødt's M&A department. He specialises in private M&A and general corporate advisory. Joachim has extensive experience in Swedish and cross-border transactions, including acquisitions, exits, equity financings, establishment of joint ventures and restructurings, across a wide range of industries and advises domestic and international corporate clients, investment firms and private equity and venture capital sponsors. He also has experience in public M&A and capital markets transactions. Joachim joined the firm in 2020 in connection with Schjødt's merger with the Swedish law firm Hamilton. Prior to that, he practiced as a lawyer with the international law firm Ashurst. He holds an LL.M. from Uppsala University.
