Einar Bratteng Bio

Einar Bratteng is one of Norway's leading experts in Norwegian and European environmental law. Einar heads Berngaard's Industry and Environment Department, where he mainly works with framework conditions for industry related to environmental issues in a broad sense (industrial environmental law). The department works with, among other things, environmental crime, pollution, waste, product, chemical, and water and wastewater law. Contract and tort law is a natural extension of environmental law, and is also an area of work that falls under the department's areas of responsibility. Einar is a widely used speaker within European politics and environmental policy development, as well as within a number of environmental law areas. Einar is a doctoral candidate at the University of Oslo at the Faculty of Law, has written the book "Avfallsrett" at Universitetsforlaget, the legal commentary on the Pollution Act and the Product Control Act for Karnov, etc. His work and academic background means that Einar is often used for heavier studies of various legal issues for private and public clients. Einar has, among other things, participated in a number of legal studies related to corporate taxation, partly as a result of his background from the Ministry of Finance. This means that he also assists other departments in Berngaard in connection with tax and duty issues.
