Einar Bratteng is one of Norway's foremost experts in environmental, waste, product and chemical law, and works extensively with the EU's central regulations in this area, such as the Framework Directive on Waste, the Regulation on Animal By-Products, the Regulation on Cross-Border Transport of Waste, the REACH and CLP Regulations, the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED), the Product Safety Directive and the Norwegian Product Control Act and the Pollution Control Act etc. Einar is the author of the book "Waste Law" at Universitetsforlaget, the legal comments on the Pollution Control Act and the Product Control Act for Karnov, he is responsible for environmental and waste law at the vocational school and is working on a PhD in environmental law and circular economy at the Faculty of Law in Oslo in collaboration with key players in the waste industry and law firm Berngaard. He also has extensive experience from the banking and insurance group at the Central Tax Office for large enterprises and has worked with tax, tax and regulatory issues related to banking, insurance and finance, including alternative investment funds (Private Equity) and mutual funds, etc., and also has a background from the Ministry of Finance's tax law department. Einar has also participated in a number of legislative issues related to corporate taxation.
